Ramsey is a Partner of Slate Asset Management and acts as the firm’s General Counsel. Ramsey also sits on Slate’s Investment Committee and is a member of its Management Committee. He is also the General Counsel of Slate Grocery REIT and Slate Office REIT.

Ramsey is involved in the overall business strategy, transaction execution and structuring from legal, business and taxation perspectives for all of Slate’s investments. Additionally, he provides general legal and business advice on transactions and operations.

Prior to Slate, Ramsey practiced law as part of the commercial real estate group at Goodmans LLP and most recently was General Counsel at Forum Equity Partners, a private alternative investment management firm.

He earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Guelph and a law degree (JD) from the University of Toronto.
