Robert is a Partner and Chief Operating Officer of Slate Asset Management and sits on Slate’s Investment Committee and is a member of its Management Committee. Robert has significant corporate finance, financial reporting and capital markets experience in North America and Europe. Robert oversees all financial matters concerning Slate’s various business vehicles and is also responsible for Slate’s operations.

Prior to joining Slate, Robert was a partner in the real estate practice of Deloitte LLP in Toronto, Canada, where he was also on the executive committee for the Toronto assurance practice and was Deloitte’s Canadian IPO leader. Prior to this, he worked at a global asset manager in various treasury, finance and financial reporting positions.

Robert is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant and holds an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier University.
